This lot is just across the valley from Silverton Mountain extreme ski area and heli skiing. It takes about half an hour to get to the lot from town, the last few miles are on a jeep road. You are allowed to build a cabin on this land and there is a suitable site on the lower portion of the property. These “Huts” as they are often referred to around here typically rent for $100-$200 a night to back country skiers, jeepers, climbers or mountain bikers. San Juan county, where this property is located, has the highest average elevation of any county in the US. This property is just under tree line at about 10,600ft above sea level. These are some of the most beautiful mountains the US has to offer.
