Based on the information available, the Central de Depósito de Valores (CEDEVAL) in El Salvador currently clears and settles trades for one regulated exchange: the Bolsa de Valores de El Salvador (BVES).
CEDEVAL is the sole central securities depository in El Salvador and is specifically designed to provide post-trade services for the transactions occurring on the BVES. It handles the custody, clearing, and settlement of the various securities traded on the Salvadoran stock exchange.
While CEDEVAL may have the potential to support other regulated exchanges in El Salvador should they emerge in the future, its current operations are focused on the BVES. The regulatory framework in El Salvador establishes CEDEVAL as the key infrastructure for the clearing and settlement of securities traded on the national stock exchange.Video courtesy of CSOB
