Edgewater Markets, a provider of foreign exchange (FX) trading technology solutions, has appointed Paul Allmark as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The announcement was made on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Allmark will be based in Edgewater’s London office and will report directly to the company’s founders. This appointment is part of a broader leadership expansion at Edgewater Markets as the firm aims for continued growth across its products and regions.
Bringing over 30 years of experience in financial technology and capital markets, Allmark has a strong background in building and scaling advanced systems for major banks and trading platforms. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at NEX / CME Group, where he oversaw the EBS and BrokerTec platforms. His earlier career includes roles at EBS BrokerTec, Thomson Reuters, and Dresdner Bank, where he led significant industry projects, such as launching the first internet-based single-dealer portal in 1998, pioneering FX streaming in China in 2007, and developing low-latency containerized trading architecture in 2020.
Skovran Schreder, CEO and Co-founder of Edgewater Markets, commented on the appointment, stating that Allmark’s deep expertise in building and scaling advanced trading platforms aligns perfectly with the firm’s ambitious initiatives.
