Key SGX Group Announcements:
* SGX RegCo to start incorporating IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards into climate reporting rules (September 23, 2024): SGX Regulation (SGX RegCo) is enhancing its sustainability reporting regime by incorporating the latest international standards. This builds on the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations already mandated and will prioritize larger issuers to report Scope 3 GHG emissions from FY2026.
* SGX RegCo consults on measures in line with a more disclosure-based regime (May 15, 2025): SGX RegCo is seeking feedback on reforms, including streamlining qualitative Mainboard admission criteria, refining quantitative Mainboard admission criteria (specifically the profit test), and potentially removing the financial watch-list. They will provisionally suspend half-yearly reviews for placing issuers on the watch-list pending the outcome of this consultation.
* SGX Group reports 1H FY2025 net profit of S$320 million (January 31, 2024): This older announcement provides financial results for the first half of FY2025, with revenue of S$646 million and adjusted earnings per share of 29.9 cents.
