SIDE (Securities Industry Data Exchange Inc.) and InteliClear have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at modernizing post-trade processing within the Canadian securities industry. This partnership will introduce a new, modular platform designed to enhance efficiency, agility, and regulatory compliance for financial services firms in Canada.
Under the agreement, SIDE has acquired the exclusive rights to InteliClear’s U.S. back-office dealer books of records software for use in the Canadian market. SIDE will adapt and integrate this software with its existing mid-office platform to meet the specific requirements of the Canadian market. InteliClear will provide support throughout the transition and implementation phases.
This collaboration is significant because it brings together InteliClear’s highly scalable, real-time books of records technology with SIDE’s expertise in mid-office transformation. The goal is to provide Canadian financial institutions with a cutting-edge post-trade solution that is both advanced and efficient, all delivered by a Canadian company.
The new platform aims to address the evolving needs of the global financial services industry by offering a modern, scalable solution that enables firms to operate with greater agility and regulatory alignment. This initiative also has the potential to expand into other global markets in the future.
