Taskize, the investment operations collaboration platform owned by Euroclear, has announced the appointment of David Williams as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This strategic hire strengthens Taskize’s leadership team as the company continues its global expansion.
Williams brings over 15 years of extensive experience in financial leadership roles within major investment banks. Most recently, he held an executive position at global asset manager Janus Henderson, and prior to that, he spent nearly a decade in senior roles at Morgan Stanley and Barclays Investment Bank. He also has experience from his time at EY.
Based in London, Williams will be responsible for leading and managing Taskize’s financial operations, as well as providing strategic insight into the company’s financial performance to both internal and external stakeholders.
This appointment follows a period of significant global expansion for Taskize, which now supports over 600 financial institutions across 88 countries. The platform aims to improve client experience, boost operational capacity, and enhance risk mitigation in the financial industry.
Williams commented on his appointment, expressing his excitement to join Taskize as it expands and addresses complex operational challenges for financial institutions. He highlighted the increasing regulatory complexity across global markets and the critical role of collaborative technology like Taskize’s platform in navigating major operational shifts, particularly the upcoming transition to T+1 settlement in the UK and EU.
Diederik Geeraerts, CEO of Taskize, emphasized that Williams’s extensive experience makes him an invaluable asset, especially as the company continues to help clients navigate the ever-evolving post-trade landscape.
