MetLife is seeking an Entry-Level Derivatives Analyst for their Middle Office team in Whippany, NJ (Hybrid). This role offers a growth opportunity within their expanding Derivatives Middle Office, supporting derivative trading operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Supporting domestic and international derivative trading desks.
* Performing daily confirmation, allocation, and reconciliation of derivative executions throughout the trade lifecycle.
* Maintaining relationships between derivatives and associated hedged items for legal hedge effectiveness.
* Setting up and maintaining derivative instruments within MetLife’s platforms and databases.
* Collaborating with front office, risk management, settlements, and technology teams.
* Monitoring and updating index fixings, calendars, and trade specifications.
* Assisting with month-end trade reconciliation and reporting.
* Providing assistance with the Collateral and Derivatives Settlement process as needed.
Required Qualifications:
* 0-2 years of experience in derivatives operations.
* Understanding of financial markets.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VBA.
* Adherence to high standards of business ethics.
* Proper work authorization for the U.S. (MetLife will not sponsor H1-B visas).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration.
* Experience with Murex and Blackrock Aladdin systems.
