Syniverse and Onomondo have announced a partnership aimed at significantly enhancing IoT connectivity and its monetization. This collaboration leverages Syniverse’s “Universal Commerce for BCE” solution to provide Onomondo with advanced clearing and settlement services. This is expected to improve operational efficiency and simplify the process of monetizing IoT services, while also offering Onomondo the flexibility to develop new commercial models for the evolving IoT industry.
Onomondo’s core business revolves around delivering tools and insights for cellular IoT deployments, including real-time device monitoring and troubleshooting. They integrate with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to create a unified network, offering enhanced flexibility, scalability, and cost efficiency compared to traditional systems. Their cloud-native platform is designed for future-proofing and complements Syniverse’s existing infrastructure.
The partnership specifically benefits Onomondo by granting them full telecommunications core integrations and dedicated physical links with Syniverse. This provides direct control over network traffic, advanced monitoring capabilities, effective troubleshooting, and improved network visibility for IoT businesses. Syniverse’s Universal Commerce for BCE solution, which is compliant with GSMA’s BCE standard, will enable Onomondo to handle complex, high-volume transactions, monetize new revenue streams, and ensure seamless, secure, and efficient transactions with real-time data aggregation and a decentralized ledger.
Both companies are set to attend MWC Barcelona, an annual trade show focused on the mobile communications industry. MWC Barcelona 2025 took place from March 3rd to March 6th, 2025. Onomondo executives, including Esben Nielsen (Enterprise Director), Wanig Le Pennec (Director of Partnerships), and Bruno Leite (VP of Sales), were present and available for meetings at the event.
