Edgewater Markets, a provider of trade execution technology solutions, has appointed Paul Allmark as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Based in London, Allmark will be responsible for overseeing all technology functions and spearheading all technology projects, reporting directly to Edgewater’s founders.
Allmark brings over 30 years of experience in financial technology and markets to his new role. His career includes senior technology and business leadership positions at major banks and trading platforms, where he focused on building and scaling advanced systems. Most recently, he served as Chief Information Officer at NEX / CME Group, where he was responsible for the EBS and BrokerTec trading platforms. His earlier career includes stints at EBS BrokerTec, Thomson Reuters, and Dresdner Bank, where he led pioneering initiatives such as the launch of the first internet-delivered single-dealer portal in 1998 and the introduction of FX streaming to mainland China in 2007.
According to Skovran Schreder, Edgewater CEO and Co-founder, Allmark’s appointment is a strategic move as Edgewater is undergoing a period of significant expansion. His “deep expertise in building and scaling advanced trading platforms aligns perfectly with the ambitious initiatives we have planned,” Schreder stated. This appointment is part of a broader leadership expansion at Edgewater as the firm aims for continued growth across products and regions. Edgewater is looking to broaden its product offerings and expand its global client base.Video courtesy of Eurex
