You will be based at the London office and the key accountabilities and responsibilities include:
Leverage analysis and reporting 50%
– Technical expert on leverage calculation methodology, including understanding of potential regulatory change.
– Will be reporting on leverage to senior stakeholders across Treasury.
– Preparation of leverage input into regulatory returns (e.g. FSA 003+)
– Preparation of Treasury papers on leverage
– Partnering Investor relations in external messaging of Leverage related issues.
– Partner other Risk, Finance and other areas as the subject matter expert on Treasury

Leverage forecasting (35%)
– Will analyse progress in the Leverage Plan (PRA-project to achieve leverage targets by 30 Jun 2014). This involves monitoring of optimisation strategies, reporting, and written and verbal presentation to senior management.
– Firm wide forecasting of leverage for both short term (outlook) and longer term (RAF/MTP) in an evolving regulatory environment. This involves liaising with Finance and Cluster contacts and central modelling of forecasts
– Analysis of Leverage input into stress testing and recovery planning
Bank Levy 15%
– Central contact on UK bank levy, involved in calculation of actual charge and forecasting of charge across plan. This involves partnering with Finance, Tax and the businesses.

– An understanding of Treasury and how their role within this function fits in with business requirements
– Ability to work under own initiative and own issues to resolution
– Capability to solve problems logically with the creative use of available resources
– Time management and capability to work independently on a number of priorities, capability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
– Ability to work and influence across the organization including communication and stakeholder management skills
– Ability to turn complex or large amounts of information into simple deliverables
– Proficient level of ability with general PC applications, namely MS Excel, , MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Access
– Knowledge across Banking products, and a subject matter expert in their own area
– Knowledge of PRA regulatory capital rules, understanding of CRD/Basel capital accords
