A leading Investment Bank is currently seeking strong Infrastructure Developers to play an intergral part in building crucial systems that support applications and trading platforms across asset-classes.
The teams’ support the low-level systems that drive business-critical functinality for fixed income and equities securities. You will be developing the standard APIs, services and databases which are depended on by many application teams throughout the firm, including core fixed income, equities, trading systems, portfolios, etc.
Equities Strats Infrastructure Development Position:
On the equities side, the Infrastructure team partners with equities strategists to monitor and maintain the firm’s automated trading systems. This role includes analysis and support for real-time trading issues as well as proactive work towards automation. You will be responsible for the successful deployment of certified code and new functionality into the production trading environment. Facilitating communications between trading desks, strategists, and other support teams to manage unexpected or day-to-day issues, understanding US Equities and/or Options market rules and microstructure, and able to interact directly with exchanges and vendors to address issues.
Fixed Income Infrastructure Development Position:
On the Fixed Income side, the mission is to aggressively improve the fixed income software infrastructure to achieve the goals of scalabiity, high-reliability and high-performance, and involved in incrementally refactoring their code and in some cases, redesigning existing systems entirely, to maintain the current level of service for their clients, as well as enhance the existing functionality by simultaneously delivering business projects. This challenge requires the ability to be creative with software solutions, manage risk and leverage the skills and knowledge of many other teams within the business.
Qualifications for both roles :
– 2+ years of software development experience in C/C++
– Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field.
– Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
– Hands on Unix/Linux, Scripting and SQL
– Experience with or interest in full software development lifecycle activities: requirements management, technical design, implementation, testing/release
– Strong verbal and written communcation skills
– Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
– Fixed Income and Equites knowledge a plus
