Are you an experienced finance professional with a background in counterparty credit risk in Latin America? Are you comfortable assessing operations risk and providing feedback to drive risk mitigation?

We are seeking an Operations Risk Business Analyst to handle multiple aspects of credit risk management as it relates to a large portfolio in Latin America. The ideal candidate for this role would have experience covering Mexican counterparties and would have a solid understanding of capital market key products.
Operations Risk Business Analyst Responsibilities:
Conduct analysis of counterparty credit risk related to transactions with Mexican clients
Identify potential risk drivers and recommend measures to mitigate risk
Execute analysis on counterparties including forecasts and financial statement analysis
Liaise with front office staff as necessary
Monitor daily exposure and credit facilities
Execute credit reports and provide recommendations for transactions needing approval
Prepare local regulatory reports as required by Mexican authorities
Actively participate in internal and external audits
Operations Risk Analyst Requirements:
Bachelors degree and 5+ years relevant experience with exposure to Latin America
Solid knowledge of key capital markets products and trade finance products
Knowledge of product risks
Prior exposure to legal documentation including ISDA, GMRA, and standard loan agreements
Excellent communication skills
Fluency in English and Spanish
Professional demeanor and ability to liaise with front office colleagues
This Operations Risk Business Analyst role is a consulting opportunity with a top investment bank in New York City. It is offered at an annualized rate of $90,000 ($45 per hour) and is expected to last at least 6 months.
