My client is a leading Bank and we are looking for candidates with strong Insurance, General Insurance, Insurance Broking, Underwriting or related backgrounds for a new Operational Risk role within the firm. Candidates should have General Insurance or Reinsurance knowledge across Financial Crime, Directors & Officers, Liability or related Banking Insurance products.
The purpose of this Operational Risk role is to ensure that the Insurance taken by the firm is effective and sufficient to prevent any Operational losses. Candidates should have a good grasp of Insurance or General Insurance, and candidates with Risk knowledge may have an advantage.
The main responsibilities of the Insurance Risk, Operational Risk AVP:
- Review existing Insurance policies and procedures and ensure efficiency of the Insurance the Bank has taken on
- Ensure Internal Controls are in place in regards to Insurance
- Work with different business units to implement and drive Insurance programs within the various business lines
- Work as part of Operational Risk team; be point person for internal and external parties on internal control and operational risk matters
Our ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of working experience in Insurance or General Insurance and should have a strong understanding of Insurance framewoks and the Insurance products. Candidates who have additional experience in Risk, Operational Risk or related Risk fields may have an advantage.
