We are seeking an Operations Support Associate to join the team of a large finance firm in Purchase, NY. This role will work within the commodities unit and will focus on the resolution of settlement issues. The ideal candidate will work well in a high-pressure environment and would quickly get up to speed on industry terminologies.
Operations Support Associate Responsibilities:
Conduct efficient and accurate verification of settlement calculations for structured commodities settlements including electricity and natural gas
Ensure settlement disputes are resolved in a timely manner
Ensure trades are accurately represented in risk analyses
Ensure cash fail receivables and trial balances are identified, analyzed and resolved
Provide operations support for new product approval in the commodities unit
Work on ad-hoc requests from other business units as needed
Operations Support Associate Requirements:
Bachelors degree and knowledge of finance industry
Fast learner able to quickly gain an understanding of terminology and commodities industry
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Process-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail to catch inefficiencies and errors
This Operations Support Associate position is a consulting role at a large firm in Purchase, NY. It is offered at an annualized salary of $36,000 ($18 per hour) and is expected to last five months.
